Andrew, and that place.
When he decided that he wanted to live peacefully, away from the noisy city life and tense family atmosphere, Andrew only had one place in mind. His long gone beloved grandmother's house. An oddly big westernize style house in the middle of Miyazaki countryside in Kyushu.
His grandmother gave him that house along with her own private library. There were so many books, a few happened to be rare books. Andrew didn't want to just hog the fun of reading for himself so he opened the library for the public. Two buildings were in that area, a huge two story library filled with old and new book Andrew just added, and a place where Andrew spent his life these past two years, a Victorian style house.
"It's okay to be proud, my son." Her mother once said that. Andrew was born from a second marriage of a Japanese billionaire with an ordinary woman from England. They got married secretly, not even his father's three children know about it. When he was born, all of his half siblings have reached teen ages. It was awkward to be the youngest and the only one who had a different mother. He felt lonely when he was young. No one would play with him and his parents are busy. His siblings never done anything bad to him but he could feel that they're uncomfortable with his presence.
Then one day, his father decided that he should live with his grandmother for a while in Miyazaki. At first Andrew was scared, but that quickly changed as he learned that grandmother is just the same like him, a lonely soul. Grandmother loved western culture a lot, she had his own library about everything she's interested in. They got close fast, and Andrew got his love for books from his grandma. Unfortunately, she passed away when Andrew was ten years old so he had to go back to Tokyo.
Ohmori Library
Andrew remembered those days when he didn't feel lonely. Those days filled with memories of his late grandmother. He came from a wealthy family yet he never felt like he owned a thing in his father's household. The only thing he truly owned was his grandmother's house and library. She left them under Andrew's name. Since it was just a small house compared to his family's other houses, no one cared except his mother who was happy that Andrew at least got his grandmother's recognition as a son of the family.
Despite being empty for years, that library was in a fairly good condition. Andrew decided to open his grandmother's library to the public so everyone around the neighbourhood who loved reading didn't have to go far to the city to borrow a book. It was his dream to be a librarian too. He even took a special course to be one so he wouldn't mess up that precious library. Every month, he would add various new books, hoping that everyone who came won't get bored. He found his peace here, and he wouldn't trade it for anything else.
